Observing

Telescope programs

Programs I lead as Principal Investigator, plus the facilities where I contribute as a co-investigator through the DLT40, SHADOW, PASSTA, AZTEC, SAGUARO, GSP and REFITT collaborations.

Space · PI

JWST & HST

JWST Cycle 5 GO-11424 (PI, 7.6 h): resolving the host galaxy of AT 2021lwx and testing SMBH–host scaling relations for extreme nuclear transients.

HST Cycle 32 GO-17748 (PI, 3 orbits): observations of AT 2021lwx.

Co-investigator on JWST programs watching dust form in real time in two very nearby core-collapse supernovae (GO-7881, GO-12572) and on NIR+MIR spectroscopy of the broad-lined Type Ic SN 2024abup (DD-06803). 20.8 h of JWST time across three programs.

Ground · PI

Keck, Gemini, Magellan, MMT, Bok

Keck and Gemini (PI): searching for late-time circumstellar-interaction and dust-formation signatures in normal core-collapse supernovae.

Magellan and MMT (PI, 2026B and 2025B): follow-up of electromagnetic counterparts to gravitational-wave events in O4 and O4-IR1.

Bok/90Prime (PI, 15 nights): a ZTF pilot for early transient science ahead of LSST, and pre-surveys laying groundwork for ULTRASAT.

Surveys · Co-I

DECam, SOAR & LCO

SHADOW on CTIO/DECam (77.1 nights, 2025B–2028A): shadowing LSST to find the youngest transients in the nearby universe.

PASSTA on SOAR (60 nights): the public AEON spectroscopic survey for transient astronomy.

More than 100 nights on Las Cumbres Observatory through the Global Supernova Project and REFITT programs.
